 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT (July 2026)

ProSight Announcement

RMA and BAI have come together as ProSight Financial Association to empower financial services leaders to strengthen and advance our industry. This strategic combination brings together RMA’s expertise in serving commercial banking and its risk management needs and BAI’s knowledge in serving retail banking and its regulatory compliance requirements. It’s a complementary union of two non-profit organizations that have always had their members’ and customers’ best interests in mind.

As BAI and RMA came together, the importance of honoring and building on our 100+ year old histories and trusted reputations is recognized. The new name signifies the enhanced value the combined organization will deliver. ProSight does just that.

  • “Pro” - Signifies the proactive, professional way we support the industry.
  • “Sight” - References our foresight as an organization and the insights we share with the industry.

Our Mission Continues:
Founded on May 19, 1926, the Minnesota Chapter continues to play a vital role in fulfilling the mission of RMA locally. We remain a member-driven professional association, run by volunteers passionate about helping banking, non-banking institutions, and credit unions manage credit, operational, and market risk. We focus on delivering:

  • Education, research, and leadership opportunities.
  • Five general chapter program/meetings each term (Complimentary for chapter affiliates)
  • Numerous networking and social events.
  • Educational courses, including the Commercial Lending Academy.

Our chapter includes more than 250 bankers and professionals representing over forty financial institutions. As valued members, your engagement is key to our future success, and we warmly welcome your ideas and involvement as we move forward this term.

What’s Changing:

  • Our new name, ProSight, reflects the enhanced value we will deliver together: “Pro” signifies our proactive, professional support for the industry, while “Sight” underscores our foresight and the insights we share.

RMA Chapters are recognized on an annual basis for their accomplishments via the William F. Githens Chapter Awards Program and the Chapter Excellence Awards. The Platinum Award is the highest level of recognition given to a chapter.

This program enables leaders of local RMA chapters to plan and evaluate their year’s activities and performance, as well as identify areas for improvement. Performance is rated based on the chapter’s ability to accomplish key tasks, provide general membership meetings, affinity group meetings, educational events, and grow membership.
