This interactive lunch time presentation challenged attendees to think outside of the box, beyond just the short-term and seek opportunities to maximize their potential with right attitude and behaviors. The group, lead by Jennifer Huber from Dale Carnegie Training®, the internationally recognized performance-based training company, learned to use strategic relationship building tools as well as proven processes to build more credibility and enhance relationships in all areas of our lives. The well-attended February 23rd RMA Women’s Forum event highlighted the increased use of social media for connecting and communicating within our industry. An increasingly popular means of exchanging information and ideas, social media is becoming less an option and more of a necessity for conducting business in the digital age. RMA Co-Chairs Julie Klein and Robin Turner were pleased with the program and commented that attendees “gained a solid overview of social media and some great ideas for integrating social media into our work lives.”

What all Commercial Lending Institutions should know about Real Estate Surveys
Presented by Loucks Associates, a professional consulting firm with expertise in the areas of planning, civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, and environmental services. While there are many qualified firms that offer similar services, they believe there are two things that make their firm stand out among the rest: their accessibility to clients and the flexibility to tailor their approach to meet the clients needs and style. Loucks Associates was established in 1976 and provides services for both private and public sector clients, and we are qualified contractors for the State of Minnesota.
ALTA Surveys - Loucks’ land surveyors present an updated educational program on the 2011 ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey Requirements. The presentation explains the details and standards set forth by said requirements and evaluates: 1) Minimum Standard Detail Requirements, 2) Table A Requirements (optional survey responsibilities and specifications), 3) Accuracy Standards, and 4) Certification vs Warranty. Loucks will define the basic terminology and fundamental format of a an ALTA Survey and they will finalize the presentation by using specific examples to show the peace of mind that proper surveys can create and the trouble bad ones can cause.
